The Prestige Institute of Management and Research (PIMR), has embarked on a new venture to enhance students' skills in foreign languages, analytical thinking, and IT proficiency. In an effort to achieve this, PIMR has introduced a Summer Course on French Language for the year 2023, with an enrollment of 30 students.
To ensure the best possible learning experience, the institute has enlisted the expertise of Sugandha Mishra, a reputable French Trainer, who will conduct on-campus classes. PIMR has also opened the doors to school and college students, allowing them to participate in the French language program alongside the newly enrolled students.
Prof. (Dr) S Raman Iyer, Director-PIMR-UG, expressed his delight at the initiation of the Basic French (A1 Level) course as a value-added offering. He emphasized the significance of regular assessments, with learners being awarded a certification upon completion of the program. Proficiency in French will significantly broaden students' career prospects, enabling them to explore diverse professional opportunities, he added.
Besides, Prof. Iyer revealed that PIMR has plans to introduce classes in German, Japanese, and other languages, following the success of the French language course. This strategic move will empower students to acquire language skills that are in high demand globally, thus expanding their horizons and international exposure.
Prof. Nitin Girdharwal highlighted the immense advantages of learning the French language for students in Indore. French is one of the official working languages in prominent international institutions such as the UN, NATO, WHO, UNCTAD, Red Cross, UNICEF, and ILO. Acquiring proficiency in French will equip Indore students with a competitive edge in their future professional endeavors and enable them to engage effectively in the global arena.
The summer school program is being coordinated by Dr. Vanshika, and Sugandha Mishra will serve as the resource person, ensuring students receive expert guidance throughout their learning journey.
