People in Hry availing benefits of Govt schemes through Parivar Pehchan Patra, says CM Khattar

Friday, 10 November 2023 | PNS | Chandigarh

Hayana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Thursday said that Haryana is the first state where people are easily availing the benefits of government schemes through the Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) and no other state has such a scheme.

Addressing the people at the Jan Samvad held at Bilaspur in Yamunanagar, he said that in this transparent IT system, automated pension starts as soon as the beneficiary turns 60. In the past nine years the lives of the residents have been made prosperous through comprehensive development works and welfare schemes carried out by the state government, he said.

Before the Jan Samvad, the Chief Minister laid the foundation for the construction of four new roads in the Sadhaura assembly constituency, along with the construction of a bridge over the Lohgarh River, and a road from Bhagwanpur to Lohgarh Sahib Gurudwara Road. During this event, three specially-abled individuals were also provided with motorized tricycles, and the stalls established by the Haryana livelihood mission were also inspected.

During the Samvad, the Chief Minister interacted with village heads, elders, youth, and women to understand their issues and developmental needs. He assured that every complaint or demand letter they received would be thoroughly scrutinized and addressed. The tasks at the district level will be resolved promptly, and those related to Chandigarh will also be expedited, said Khattar.

He expressed a deep connection with Bilaspur, having stayed there for a long time and reminisced about old memories that come alive when names like local mela, the Saraswati River, and other historical places are mentioned. He recalled walking from Adi Badri to Pipli in the year 1985-86 and highlighted that at that time, there was no development. One had to stop when crossing the river. However, now, development projects have been rapidly executed. He said that in the past nine years, record-breaking development works have been carried out. The money spent on development is for the people’s benefit and should be utilized for their welfare. This philosophy has driven their work, said Khattar.

During the interaction, concerns were raised about stray animals and the absence of a cow shelter in the area. The Chief Minister stated that in villages where there is ample Panchayati land if there is more than 10 acres available and they offer it for a cow shelter, construction will commence. The expenses for this will be made available through the Gaushala Service Commission.

Directs construction of 50-bed CHC to boost health services

In another event at Sadhaura, Khattar reiterated his commitment to achieve uniform development in every assembly constituency over the past 9 years. Responding to the demand for a library during the Jan Samvad, the Chief Minister announced a grant of Rs 10 lakh for the establishment of a library in the Municipality building. Emphasizing the importance of education, he highlighted the potential for children to not only read books but also prepare for competitive examinations in the new library.

He lauded the success of Mission Merit in the state, where educated youth secure government jobs transparently, boosting the confidence of the youth to engage in library and coaching center studies.

Furthermore, he disclosed that families without anyone employed in a government job receive a 5 percent additional marks provision, benefiting 60 to 70 percent of children. This initiative sends a clear message to the public that government jobs are now accessible based on merit.

Addressing the demand for a Community Health Center (CHC) in Sadhaura, the Chief Minister directed officials to expedite the necessary processes for the construction of a 50-bed CHC within 15 days. He confirmed that the Directorate General, Health Services had cleared the file, and the estimate would soon be prepared and approved by the Public Works Department.

He highlighted the government's efforts to provide employment alongside government jobs through Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Melas. These melas offer loans ranging from Rs 50,000 to Rs 2 lakh to youth for establishing self-employment, aiming to enhance their income and lead a dignified life.
