Haryana Govt implements UDID from Jul 1

Chandigarh: Haryana Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities Raj Kumar Makkar on Sunday announced the implementation of Unique Disability Identity Card (UDID) from July 1 in the state. This initiative is designed to protect and uphold the rights of persons with disabilities (Divyangjans). It is now mandatory for Divyangjans to obtain a UDID card in order to access government benefits and employment opportunities. Highlighting the significance of UDID card for Divyangjans’ welfare, Makkar said that low-floor buses have been introduced within the campuses of Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak and Kurukshetra University to facilitate easy movement for Divyangjans, ensuring that they would face no inconvenience. The government has entered into agreements with three corporate sector companies to promote employment opportunities for persons with disabilities.

Strengthen JJP at every booth level: Ajay Singh Chautala

Chandigarh: Senior JJP leader Dr Ajay Singh Chautala has called for strengthening the party at every booth. In a huge public outreach, Chautala said that with the hard work of party workers, the party's vote percentage will increase from 17 to 51 per cent, and the number of MLAs will increase from 10 to 46 in no time. Starting their Lok Sabha rallies from Jullana, JJP has announced its next rally in Faridabad and then INSO Foundation Day celebrations in Hisar.

Akhil Bhartiya Ayurved Mahasammelan meeting today

Chandigarh: The executive and standing committee meeting of Akhil Bhartiya Ayurved Mahasammelan will be organized at Dhanvantari Ayurveda College in Chandigarh’s Sector 46 on Monday. The official spokesperson Dr Geeta Joshi said that discussion on the promotion of Ayurveda in the country and abroad among others will be held during the meeting.
