With high altitude regions experiencing light snowfall, cloudy and rainy weather is likely to persist in the State today with the State meteorological centre forecasting that very light to light rain is likely to occur at isolated places in all districts of the State on Wednesday. Further, snowfall is likely to occur at places situated at altitudes above 3,000 metres in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a mainly clear to partly cloudy sky. Further, thundercloud development is likely to occur in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 24 degrees Celsius and 11 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun on Wednesday.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Tuesday were 22.2 degrees Celsius and 12 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 25.4 degrees Celsius and 15.4 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 14.6 degrees Celsius and 6.4 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 16.2 degrees Celsius and 7.1 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
