Monsoon playing havoc in MP

Monsoon is continuously creating devastation across the state due to heavy rains in the first week of monsoon in Madhya Pradesh, flood like situation has arisen in many districts including Narsinghpur, Umaria, Seoni. Similar conditions can also be created on Friday.

Meteorologists have issued warnings of heavy to very heavy rainfall. There is also a possibility of lightning. It has been raining in Bhopal since morning.Heavy rains in Seoni created a crack in the wall of Dungaria Dam and it started leaking and to avoid untoward action two nearby villages have been evacuated.

The water level of Narmada river at Sethani Ghat in Narmadapuram reached 947 feet at 8 am on Thursday. More than 10 feet of water has increased within 24 hours. It is 18 feet below the danger mark. District administration and rescue teams have been alerted.
