Marandi highlights achievement of NDA Govt

Thursday, 31 August 2023 | Ranchi | PNS

BJP State President and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi on Wednesday addressed the booth level workers conference of Sasarkho Mandal in Dumri. Targeting the state government, he questioned why people should vote for the JMM/Congress alliance government in State which has done nothing for the people of Jharkhand in the last three and a half years?

He said that in the last three and a half years there has been only looting in the state. The head of the alliance government has become the patron of the robbers. Brokers and middlemen are running this state.

He said that along with mines, minerals, iron, coal, sand and stones, the land of the poor and tribals is being looted. Instead of acting strictly against these robbers and sending them to jail, the government is hiring expensive lawyers to save these robbers. And those who went to jail were also advocating for their release.

He said that when BJP and NDA governments are formed, development takes place, whereas if Congress, JMM and RJD governments are formed, corruption and loot take place.

“Today the law and order situation of the state is in disarray. Sisters and daughters are not safe. They are being burnt with petrol, cut into pieces and hanged from trees. And till date not a single criminal has been punished. Police are engaged in recovery. If Hemant is there then criminals and robbers have courage,” said Soren.

He said that Atal Bihari Vajpayee's government created a separate state. Provided roads to villages through Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. Created Tribal Ministry, included Santhali language in the 8th Schedule of the Constitution. And today Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji launched many welfare schemes for villages, poor farmers, laborers and women. Many welfare works like Jan Dhan Account, Kisan Samman Nidhi, Ujjwala Gas Scheme, Prime Minister's Housing, Toilet, Tap Water Scheme, 5 kg free grains per month, treatment through Ayushman Scheme were brought to the ground.

Marandi said that apart from these the Modi government also gave respect to the tribals. For the first time in independent India, 8 tribals became ministers. “Birsa Munda's birth anniversary has been declared as Tribal Pride Day. And above all a tribal woman, daughter of Santhal community, has been made President of the country,” said Marandi.

Marandi said that in the past 9 years, the Modi government gave 5 medical colleges in the state, built AIIMS hospital and airport in Deoghar, and gave two free doses of vaccine and booster dose in Corona. Gave money to the poor in Jan Dhan accounts among others.

He said that today by reducing the prices of gas cylinders by Rs 200, the Modi government has given a big gift to the sisters of the country on Raksha Bandhan.

The bypoll, which is scheduled for September 5, was necessitated due to the death of JMM leader and former education minister Jagrnath Mahato earlier this year. His wife Bebi Devi is now contesting the bypoll as the JMM’s candidate backed by the party-led ruling coalition. She is pitted against the All Jharkhand Student Union Party (AJSUP)’s Yasodha Devi, who is the Opposition BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA)’s joint candidate.
