Man shot dead by motorcycle borne criminals in Katras

Even as district police patts its back  for arresting  criminals involved  in shooting  for intimidation and extortion demand  in   district  one Manoj Yadav resident of Kailudih under Katras police station was shot  dead by unknown  motorcycle borne assailants in a mid day shootout here on Sunday.

Manoj was shot eight times while  he was sitting in a tea stall near his residence when the criminals opened fire on him and escaped. He was  taken to near by hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

This happens  to be second incident of murder within a weeks time in district. Earliear one  man died as his hand was choppes off by miscreants during a scuffle  and shooting that took  in Singh nagar locality  under Jharia police station.

Manoj happens  to be  a coal merchant  and has been supposedly  shot  dead by gang led by Prince Khan  who has been demanding extortion  money  from him.

Prince  one of the most  wanted criminals of Dhanbad took the responsibility by releasing a "note" on social media mentioning that  his shooter Major  has shot Manoj as he had refused to pay the demanded sum as  extortion.

Sources said the demand  was made   for  around a dozen  times  but when he redused was shot dead.

Local residents later blocked  Katras  Bhatmurna more with body of Manoj demanding arrest of shooters. Senior police officials have reaches on spot and atyemots are on to pasify the residents.
