Heavy protest was witnessed after liquor shop of Bhopal's Purana Qila (Kamala Park) shifted in front of Gandhi Bhavan at Polytechnic Square and now near Kilol Park.

On Thursday, the staff of the corporation had reached the spot to set up a temporary shop, along with the employees of the Regional Director Health Services and Malaria Department, the resident and the councilor also protested. They said that the place where the liquor shop is being shifted has government offices, immersion ghats and residential areas. Councilor Shabista Zaki also reached there to protest.

On Thursday afternoon, preparations were on to open a liquor shop in the government building near the Malaria Department. The staff of the Municipal Corporation had also reached the spot to set up a temporary shop. Due to why the employees and residents of the Health and Malaria Department took to the road in protest.

Resident and councilor Shabista Zaki protested against the opening of liquor shop in front of the office of Health Department and Malaria Department.

Congress corporator and Leader of Opposition in the corporation Shabista Zaki also participated in the protest. He expressed strong opposition to opening the shop. During the protest, the police also reached the spot.

Malaria Department employees told that this shop is not only opening near Kilol Park and Visarjan Ghat, but is right in front of Malaria Office. The employees told that two gates of Malaria Department's office open in front of the place where the shop is being built. The vaccine store is also here. In such a situation, trouble will arise. People told that there is also a residential area here.
