Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday distributed funds and goods worth over Rs 9.8 crore to 3,088 beneficiaries in Raigarh district.
At the programme, Baghel and Kharge praised the stalls displaying various processing units of Rural Industrial Parks (RIPAs). They spoke to the president of the Kalyani self-help group, Sumati Shah, a beneficiary of the Silk Samagra Scheme. She spoke about the cocoon threading work of Kosa silk production and said the work has improved the financial condition of many women. An exhibition displayed the achievements of the various welfare schemes.
They visited the beneficiaries at the stalls and learnt about the benefits they have received under welfare schemes.
