Ruling party in the State, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led Central Government for not inviting the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, to the inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament Building and termed it black day in the history of the Country.

Addressing a press meet at the party headquarter in the State Capital, JMM General Secretary cum Spokesperson, Supriyo Bhattacharya said that May 28, on which new Parliament Building was inaugurated, will be remembered as black day in the history of the Country. It was complete insult of the Constitution of India that the person holding highest Constitutional post was not invited by BJP and Prime Minister, Narendra Modi on the historic day.

Hitting hard on BJP, Bhattachrya said that BJP is misleading people in the name of tribals. “It is also an insult to the tribal community for holding the highest Constitutional post as tribal women BJP is not inviting her for the inauguration of the Country’s apex house but they will demand a vote from the people on the name of tribal women President. It does not happen only by observing Adivasi Gourav Diwas but where tribes have dignity but they prevent themselves from it”, he added.

“When Ramnath Kovind was President of India then foundation stone was laid on the occasion also the Prime Minister himself laid the foundation stone instead of Kovind. The party uses this propaganda to get votes from the people in the elections. It is not an insult to only the President of India but an insult to 140 crore people of the Country. I think that a plea will also be filed in the Supreme Court on this issue,” said Bhattacharya.

The party General Secretary said that only the Supreme Court and President of India are two highest constitutional powers in the Country because both solemnize oaths to each other. “But it matters o0f irony that the President solemnized oat to the Prime Minister, he himself forgot on the occasion. It is a complete insult to the highest constitutional post of the Country,” he added.  

Bhattacharya attacked BJP for selecting the 140 birth anniversary date of Vinay Damodar Savarkar. He said that Savarkar had 19 times written apologized before British officers they have selected his birth anniversary of the inauguration of the parliament building, he added
