Another achievement has been added to the railway works of Hazaribag Lok Sabha. After Vande Bharat Express, the area got the gift of Intercity Express. The Ranchi-New Giridih Intercity Express train was inaugurated on Tuesday. It is being operated via Jamua, Dhanwar, Maheshpur Halt, Koderma, Hazaribag Town, Barkakana, Mesra and Tatisilwai.
MP Hazaribag Co-Chairman Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance Jayant Sinha had been trying for a long time to start it from Hazaribag. His efforts have achieved great success. With the introduction of the Intercity Express train, lakhs of passengers will now get immense convenience. Jayant Sinha welcomed this train in Hazaribag and travelled in its Vistadome Coach. Also, the train was flagged off from Barkakana railway station for Ranchi. Passengers will be able to travel from Hazaribagh to Ranchi for just Rs75 and from Ramgarh to Ranchi for just Rs 60. This will save both their time and money. There is immense happiness and enthusiasm among the residents of the area due to the commencement of Intercity Express.
On this occasion, Jayant Sinha said that this is a historic day for Hazaribag. After the rail line and Vande Bharat, we have provided another facility to the area through intercity.
This train is very convenient. Vistadome coaches have been installed in it, which have big windows. Passengers will enjoy traveling in this coach very much. They will get to see beautiful views of the valleys. We are trying to stop the intercity at Barhi so that the residents here can also get its benefits. Along with this, efforts are being made to start Rajdhani Express from Hazaribag. Once it starts, you will be able to travel to New Delhi and Kolkata.
Sinha also said that we are working with the basic mantra of Sabka Saath and Sabka Vikas. Our endeavor has always been to ensure every better facility for the passengers. Various rail related development works are going on in the area. Barkakana Railway Station is being redeveloped under the Amrit Station Scheme. This will change the scenario of rail services in the region. Hazaribag Lok Sabha is moving towards continuous development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I am continuously meeting Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and discussing railway related works in the area. The introduction of Intercity Express is the result of these efforts. Hazaribag Sadar MLA Manish Jaiswal and other senior BJP leaders and workers were also present in the programme.
