The members and workers of Indian National Development Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) organized a one-day protest in front of Raj Bhavan on Thursday to save Heavy Engineering Corporation (HEC) Limited of the State Capital.

During the protest, the INDIA bloc announced to fight an all-out war to save the organisation. On the occasion HEC employees and members of INDIA raised slogans like “We will give our lives, but we will not let HEC be closed” and “Save HEC, drive away Modi”.

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) District President, Mustaq Alam, Youth RJD President, Ranjan Yadav, RJD Woman Leader, Anita Yadav, CPI Leader, Ajay Singh, Congress Leader, Ajay Nath Shahdev along with hundreds of employees including labor union leader Bhuvan Singh were present in the program.

Addressing the people who came to Raj Bhawan to protest former Union Minister, Subodh Kant Sahay said that HEC has made important contributions from Chandrayaan to Suryayaan missions but the BJP Government at the Center did not take any initiative to save HEC. “The HEC employees have not received salaries for 18 months. On the other hand, HEC land is being converted into a colony considering it as Government land,” he added.

Sahay also said that we will fight a policy battle to save HEC. We will even sacrifice our lives to save HEC land and factory, but will not let it be closed, he added.
