IIFM flags off 6-day mid-career training program for officers

The Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM), Bhopal commenced a six-day Mid-Career Training program in association with Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy (IGNFA), Dehradhun on Monday for senior IFS (Indian Forest Service) officers, titled "MCT-V."

The inaugural event of this training program, scheduled from May 08 to 13, was graced by the presence of RK Gupta, IFS, PCCF & HoFF, Madhya Pradesh, as the chief guest. guests, including Bharat Lal, IFS, Director-General, N.C.G.G., and Prof Sushil Kumar Awasthi, IFS, Additional Director, IGNFA, added to the grandeur of the program. The course director for this six-day training program is Prof Amitabh Pande of IIFM.

On this occasion, Dr K Ravichandran, Director of the Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal, said, "The program is designed to fasten the collaborative requirements so that everyone can actively contribute, share ideas and touch each aspect of the curriculum with the field and classroom-based learning".

On the first day of the training program, Bharat Lal delivered a lecture on human values and good governance. Furthermore, Prof. Rekha Singhal from Shri Shri University discussed change management and team building, while Dr Mukesh Jain, IPS, DGP, M.P., spoke about the challenges of future systems. As part of this engaging program, the officers will also undertake visits to the natural heritage sites of the state.

During this six-day training program, the officers will receive training from various renowned trainers in the country on subjects such as public finance management, strategic management and goal setting, leadership skills, stress management, and natural resource management.

Additionally, discussions will be held on the implementation of sustainable lifestyle practices under the mission 'LiFE', Lifestyle for Environment. After the completion of the first day's program, Prof. Yogesh Dubey extended his gratitude.
