Various parts of the State experienced light to moderate rainfall on Monday. However, heavy rain is likely in seven districts of the Stat today. The State meteorological centre has once again issued a warning (watch) regarding the possibility of heavy rain likely to occur at isolated places in Dehradun, Tehri, Chamoli, Haridwar, Pauri, Bageshwar and Nainital districts on Tuesday. Thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and intense/very intense spells are also likely to occur at isolated places in the State today. Apart from this, light to moderate rain/thunderstorms are likely to occur at most places in the districts of the State.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness partly to generally cloudy sky. One or two spells of light to moderate rain / thundershowers are likely to occur, which may be intense/heavy in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 33 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today. The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Monday were 32.8 degrees Celsius and 24.2 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 34 degrees Celsius and 26 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 21.3 degrees Celsius and 15.7 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 25.4 degrees Celsius and 17.3 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
