On the eve of Chartered Accountants (CA) Day being observed across the country on July 1, Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday released a CAs Directory.
A delegation of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) Chandigarh Branch led by Chairman Vishal Puri and Member, Sanjay Tandon met the Chief Minister and apprised him about the functioning of their apex body ICAI and details about the profession.
ICAI is a statutory body established by an Act of Parliament which came into existence on July 1, 1949 to regulate the CA profession across the country.
On this occasion, Khattar said that the contribution of CA professionals in further strengthening the country's economy is not only commendable but vital as well. To provide more facilities to the students studying Chartered Accountancy from every nook and corner of North India and practicing CAs at CA Bhawan, Sector -35 Chandigarh, the delegation demanded that a place should be allotted for the Chartered Accountants Centre of Excellence in Panchkula. While sympathetically considering their demand, Khattar assured that concrete steps would soon be taken to meet their demands.
