Ganga Dussehra program held at origin of river Damodar

Damodar Bachao Andolan Lohardaga and, under the joint aegis of Yugantar Bharti, Nature Foundation, Damodar Kshetra Vikash Trust, Devnad Damodar Festival program was concluded on Tuesday under the leadership of Omprakash Singh at Chulhapani Salgi, the origin of Damodar river. River Puja Havan and Maha Aarti and Kirtan were organized on the occasion. On the occasion, former MLC Praveen Singh said that the water here is like nectar. Just in contrast to the way the Damodar river was polluted, the water nectar of Chulhapani, the origin of the Damodar river, is clean and pure. He said that the efforts of Saryu Roy's movement paid off. 

Successful efforts have been made to make polluted rivers like Damodar pollution free through movement. Omprakash Singh said that the development of Chulhapani is progressing slowly and Saryu Rai's efforts paid off. In 2004 it was difficult to travel on foot, but today a four-wheeler is going up to Chulhapani. Zonal Officer Kudu Praveen Singh said that we will try to bring all the schemes of the government to the ground, electricity has reached here, the access road has been made, we are trying to build good clean drinking water and good roads soon. Kirtan was organized in the program under the leadership of Muneshwar Sahu. 

Sub-Divisional Police Officer Senior Narayan Singh said that if there is a forest, then it is auspicious. Everyone is requested to plant and save one tree in a year, only then we will be able to save the environment, only then we will get pollution free water if trees remain planted. The program was organized by Damodar Bachao Andolan, Damodar Area Development Trust, Yugantar Bharti Nature Foundation. While tourism as a sponsor was done by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Sports, Youth Program, Government of Jharkhand. On this occasion, City Manager of Municipal Council Bijay Kumar planted three saplings of camphor near the place of origin from the visiting guests. Balakrishna Singh, Jaynarayan Prajapati, Raju Singh, Lal and others were present in the programme.
