The state government on Monday shifted eight senior IPS officers.
According to an official communiqué, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Crime and Headquarters Lucknow, Nilabja Chaudhary, has been shifted to Crime and Headquarters Commissionerate, Kanpur as Joint Commissioner of Police. Similarly, ACP Akash Kulhari, Prayagraj, has been made Joint Commissioner of Police, Crime and Headquarters, Lucknow while ACP Gautam Buddha Nagar has been made DIG, Public Grievance, at Police Headquarters in Lucknow.
Amit Verma will continue to work as Inspector General of Police, State Special Investigation Squad, as his transfer to Kanpur Nagar police commissionerate as Additional Commissioner of Police has been cancelled.
Bablu Kumar, DIG, Anti-Corruption Organisation, has been made ACP, of Gautam Buddha Nagar police commissionerate.
Superintendent of Police, Anti-Narcotics Task Force Headquarters, Pawan Kumar, has been made Deputy Commissioner of Police, Prayagraj, while Suniti, Superintendent of Police, Administration Headquarters, has been made Deputy Commissioner of Police at Gautam Buddha Nagar.
Shraddha Nagendra Pandey, Superintendent of Police, Headquarters, has been made Deputy Commissioner of Police at Prayagraj.
