The income and expenditure report along with the balance sheet was presented in the 59th annual general meeting of the Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FJCCI) on Friday on which the members present in the meeting expressed their consent. During the meeting it was informed that during the last tenure 260 new members were added in FJCCI.
The meeting was held on Friday in the Chamber Bhawan in the presence of 138 members. In this, officials of the Chamber of Commerce and affiliated organizations of Giridih, Gumla, Simdega, Khunti, Chaibasa districts including Ranchi as well as businessmen, entrepreneurs and professionals of the district participated. On this occasion, FJCCI General Secretary, Dr Abhishek Ramadhin presented the annual activities of this session of the Chamber before the meeting, which was approved by the members present there. The General Assembly unanimously once again gave the responsibility to M/s JN Aggarwal and Company for the audit of the Chamber. Treasurer Sunil Kedia presented the income and expenditure report for the session 2022-23.
Addressing the general meeting, FJCCI Chief, Kishore Mantri said that the committee has made better efforts to give a state level form to the Federation. “During this period 14 districts were visited. Along with the establishment of chambers in many districts, regional conclaves were organized at the district level and work was done towards simplification of legal complexities related to the business world. Preparation of building regularization scheme in the state, along with reduction in the rates of holding tax, successful efforts were made to provide leadership to Jharkhand Chamber among the chambers of Eastern Zone,” he added.
“Decisive success has been achieved in financially empowering the Chamber by organizing the Mega Trade Fair and adding 260 new members. We have also received positive consent from the State Government for providing one acre of land in the smart city to the Jharkhand Chamber,” he added.
Executive Committee Poll Election officers, Lalit Kedia and Pawan Sharma said on the election procedures that voting will be held from 9 am to 5 pm on September 24 at Birsa Munda Football Stadium and after voting, counting of votes and results will be announced.
It was also announced that Pradeep Aggarwal from Coalfield, Nitin Prakash from Kolhan, Akarsh Anand from Palamu and Pritam Gadia from Santhal Pargana were elected unopposed for regional vice president in four divisions. Only regional vice presidents of North and South divisions will be elected.
Some proposals sent by the members for amending the Constitution of the Chamber were also presented by Dr Abhishek Ramadhin, which was decided to be sent to the Constitution Amendment Committee for consideration.
