Two persons were killed and two others of the same family were injured in a road accident in Durg district of Chhattisgarh on Sunday.
Rajendra Barle (40) and his son Bharat (4) died while the former’s wife and daughter were injured, Durg Superintendent of Police Shalabh Kumar Sinha said.
The incident took place near Motipur Chowk when the Barle family were heading to Amleshwar village on a motorcycle.
A heavy vehicle hit the motorcycle killing the father and son on the spot. The injured are said to be critical.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel expressed grief over the incident and announced a compensation of Rs 4 lakhs each to the kin of the dead.
