Education Dept starts process of appointing block & cluster resource persons

The Education department has decided to fill the vacant positions of Block Resource Person (BRP) and Cluster Resource Person (CRP) on contractual basis. The department has 955 vacant posts of BRP and CRP. The department has also set up the minimum educational qualification for these posts.

 In a letter to the State project director, Samagra Shiksha, the school education secretary Ravinath Raman said that the minimum educational qualification for the post of BRP (Hindi) would be post graduate degree in Hindi with 55 per cent marks. The candidates for these posts must have Hindi and Sanskrit subjects in graduation. Similarly for the post of BRP (English) the candidate must

 have English as the main subject at graduate level with 55 per cent marks and should have a PG degree in English (minimum 55 per cent).  For BRP (science) candidates with PG degree in physics, chemistry, zoology and botany with 55 per cent marks are eligible. These candidates must have at least two of the above mentioned subjects in graduate level. For the post of BRP (mathematics) the candidate must have a PG degree in mathematics with 55 per cent marks. Similarly for BRP (social science), the candidate must have a PG degree with 55 per cent marks in either economics, political science, geography and history with any two of the above mentioned subjects at graduate level.

 For the CRP post candidates should have a PG degree in any subject with minimum 55 per cent marks. Apart from the PG degrees the candidates must have a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree with CTET or UTET certificate. Retired teachers can also apply for these posts as 10 per cent of total vacancies are kept reserved for them.

 The project director, Samagra Shiksha, will select an outsourcing agency which will appoint candidates to these posts. The minimum and maximum age for these posts is 21 years and 42 years respectively while the maximum age for retired teachers is 65 years.

The Higher Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that 955 posts of BRP and CRP are vacant in the department. He said that the officers have been directed to start the recruitment process soon.
