In a move to ease the policing system a portal was unveiled by the Director General of Police, Jharkhand, Ajay Kumar Singh in the auditorium located at Police Headquarters in the State Capital on Friday through video conferencing.
On this occasion, Additional Director General of Police, RK Mallik, Additional Director General of Police, Murarilal Meena, Additional Director General of Police, Campaign, Dr Sanjay Anandrao Latkar, Additional Director General of Police, Training and Modernization, Priya Dubey, Inspector General of Police, Headquarters, Manoj Kaushik, Inspector General of Police, Human Rights, Akhilesh Jha, Inspector General of Police, Operations, Amol Vinukant Homkar, Inspector General of Police, Special Branch, Prabhat Kumar, Police Deputy Inspector General, Personnel, Annepu Vijayalakshmi, Deputy Inspector General of Police, JSPU, Sunil Bhaskar and Superintendent of Police, Campaign were present, Amit Renu.
The Director Generals of Police (DGsP) and Inspector Generals of Police (IGsP) Conference is organized every year under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister. In this conference, after in-depth discussion on topics related to various dimensions of policing, recommendations are sent by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India to all the States and Union Territories for compliance.
Some of these recommendations are regularly implemented at the State level and up to the district and station level. Compliance with all these recommendations is monitored by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. Since the implementation of these ordinances is also being done continuously through the districts and police stations. It is necessary because some recommendations also require photographs and videos, hence, implementation of these recommendations in hard copy should be obtained from all the police units and its compilation should be done at all levels. It is a time consuming and resource intensive process. For easier and better monitoring of this process, an online portal has been created.
Apart from this, all the Regional Inspectors General of Police, all the Regional Deputy Inspectors General of Police, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Crime Investigation Department, senior officials of Railways, including Jharkhand, Senior Superintendents of Police, Dhanbad, Ranchi and Jamshedpur and all the District Superintendents of Police, all Commander, JSPU and IRB was present through video conferencing.
