In view of upcoming assembly elections and festivals, combing patrolling done by Bhopal police to control crimes and arrest absconding accused who have been issued warrants.

A total of 446 accused including 307 permanent warrants and 139 arrest warrants were arrested during combing patrolling.

Action taken during combing patrol by more than 400 officers and employees of Zone-1, Zone-2 area. Combing patrolling has been done 9 times so far in Bhopal Commissionerate and 4564 permanent and arrest warrants have been served in 9 combing patrols

In view of upcoming assembly elections and festivals, combing patrolling was done in Zone-01 and Zone-02 area on the intervening night of August 29 and 30, 2023 to control crimes and arrest absconding prize accused and warrantees under the guidance of senior officers.

About 400 officers and employees including the force of Zone-1 and Zone 2 and Reserve Center were sent to the police station areas by working with sensitivity and alertness in teamwork in their respective areas, giving proper guidelines for warranties and arrest of miscreants.

During patrolling, the police station team under the leadership of DCP and ADDL DCL and ACP of Zone 1 and Zone 1 remained active throughout the night and arrested the accused and absconding warrantees.

Patrolling was started by about 400 policemen from around 10 pm and was done till around 5 in the morning. A total of 446 warrants including 307 standing warrants and 139 arrest warrants were served in only 7 hours of patrolling. Also, goons, scoundrels and history-sheeters were checked.

A total of 213 warrants including 56 arrests, 157 permanent warrants were served in Zone 2 area, in which maximum 46 warrants including 32 permanent warrants and 14 arrest warrants were served by Piplani police station.

Action was taken on 233 warrants including 83 arrests, 150 permanent warrants in Zone 1 area, in which a total of 44 warrants including maximum 30 permanent warrants and 14 arrest warrants were executed by Police Station Shahpura.

Due to increase in the pendency of permanent/arrest warrants in all the police stations of the city, cases were pending in the court due to the absconding of the accused and the warrant being served. With the serving of warrants, the cases will be solved and the victims will get justice. There are serious and economic related crimes including murder, rape, robbery, check bounce, fraud in the warrants executed. This campaign will definitely have a positive effect on the people and increase the fear of police and law among criminals. Combing patrolling will also be done in the coming time.

A total of 4564 permanent/arrest warrants have been served in 9 combing patrols in Bhopal Commissionerate so far.
