Chhattisgarh orders hike honorarium of Home Guards

The Chhattisgarh government has hiked the honorarium of Home Guards.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel had pledged to increase the honorarium according to their rank  during his 2023-24 budget speech, an official communication said on Sunday.

The increase is from the minimum Rs 6,300 to a  maximum Rs 6,420 per month based on rank. The hike will be applicable on the honorarium received from April 2023.

The honorarium was earlier Rs 13,200 per    month, which will now be  Rs 19, 500. A Lance Naik  will now receive Rs 19,665,    a Naik Rs 19,830, a    Havaldar Rs 19, 995 and a Company Havildar Major  Rs 20,160.

The Company Quartermaster's honorarium has been hiked to Rs 20,175, the Volunteer platoon     commander's to Rs 20,640 and a Volunteer Company Commander's Rs 21,120   per month.
