Bundelkhand will become a heaven on earth

Wednesday, 10 May 2023 | PNS | Lucknow

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Tuesday, said that Bundelkhand would become a heaven on earth as the problem of the region's barren and rugged terrain had finally been resolved.

Moreover, he added that the government’s ongoing efforts to provide pure tap water to every household in the area would be successfully completed within the next four months.

Addressing an election rally at Banda, the chief minister said, “Banda was once a garbage dump but today wide roads, gleaming street lights and beautiful parks are adding to its beauty.”

“Last time when I visited Banda I got the opportunity to unveil the statue of Maharana Pratap, which was pending for years. Today, once again I have got the chance to garland his statue on his birth anniversary. Kalinjar’s old aura has been restored with the blessings of  Lord Neelkanth Mahadev. Bundelkhand region is writing a new chapter of development as this land has been blessed by sages like Vamdev,” he added.

The chief minister said that employment, agriculture, earning and opportunities for the youth were all at risk before 2017. He added that according to the vision of the prime minister and with people’s representatives’ efforts, Bundelkhand was writing a new story of development as the entire area is free from ‘mafia raj’. The chief minister also mentioned the opening of the Bundelkhand Expressway in this context.

He added, earlier women had to bring water in pitchers from far-off places, but today through the Har Ghar Nal Yojana, tap water is being provided to every house in Bundelkhand and the exercise would be completed in the next four months.

Chief Minister Yogi said that farmers, traders, mothers and daughters of this region used to feel insecure during previous governments, but the situation had changed completely. He said the terror of criminals had ended and traders no longer had to pay extortion. Besides, there was no loot of government resources.

The chief minister further said, “I have come here to appeal to you to brighten the present and future of this place. It is no ordinary election. It is about giving power to those hands that can use it properly without exploitation, corruption and loot”.

Emphasising on India’s new story of development the chief minister said that today the world looks at India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the saviour. He also mentioned the infrastructural development works being carried out by the double engine government. He said that the central government had been providing free ration to 80 crore people for the last three years since the outbreak of COVID-19.
