It may sound unusual but is true that  the college management of Bokaro Steel City College, Bokaro is yet pay full salary to the contractual assistant professor , even after the order of Mukul Dev Narayan, former vice-chancellor of Binod Bihari Mahto Koylanchal University (BBMKU).

 The matter is related to Prabhakar Kumar, a contractual assistant professor who worked at Bokaro Steel City College, Bokaro, now has been transferred to Bermo based college  by order of present VC . 

 This teacher continued to excel in teaching the students of the Department of Psychology single handedly, in spite of this, the former principal of the said college and some teachers created a controversy without any reason. The outcome was that the then principal of that college Dr. Ashok Kumar Manji,     dismissed him without informing the university, though he was selected and appointed by university 

 When the said teacher  placed a petition before than former registrar of the BBMKU  Dr. Vikas Kumar for knowing reasons of dismissal  of Prabhakar,was shocked to note that no such order was passed by the then VC Kamal John Lakda, vice-chancellor - cum- commissioner North Chhotanagpur division. 

On this the then  VC had sought an explanation from then principal Dr. Ashok Kumar Manji. But when the latter failed to give explanation the Vice-Chancellor constituted a three-member team for investigation, headed by the then Principal of PK Roy College, Dr. Sinha, Principal of SSLNT, Dr. Sharmila Rani and Bursar Rajeev Pradhan of PK Roy College.

 After the retirement of the Divisional Commissioner, Dr. Mukul Narayan Dev, Vice-Chancellor of Vinoba Bhave University, was made the in-charge Vice-Chancellor of the University. After investigation, he issued an order to Dr. Prabhakar Kumar to return to work and  payment of  salary from July 2021.

Unfortunately, despite the order the college has yet not cleared the due payment of Kumar.

Interestingly, when the present VC of BBMKU Dr Sukhdev Bhoi  took over he transferred Prabhakar to Bermo and Maji was shifted to Dhanbad with a plum post in University .

Meanwhile, the Rajbhawan has issued a second showcase to VC of BBMKU along with the  former  registrar  and presently proctor  Dr S Sinha and finance officer  Munmun Sharan for  their alleged financial irregularities.

 The show cause comes  after  a preliminary report submitted by an inquiry team report that had  inquired about the   reported irregularities   committed by the three. The team led  by a senior officer  from the Higher education department had visited university  about a month ago. Then it conducted an inquiry and also seized documents related to it.
