Bhupesh denounces BJP leader Saroj for calling PCC chief ‘child'

Thursday, 31 August 2023 | Staff Reporter | RAIPUR

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday denounced BJP leader and Rajya Sabha member Saroj Pandey for calling PCC chief Deepak Baij a "child".

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Baghel said how can Pandey call Baij a child when he is married and a father.

Baij is also two times MLA and now an MP. How can such a mature person be called a child, Baghel asked.

Instead, Pandey was unmarried and hence she should answer as who was a child, the chief minister said.

It is unfair that a tribal leader like Baij should be mocked in such a way and is objectionable too to underestimate him, he added.

Pandey on Tuesday called Baij an "immature" leader and a "child". Baij, an MP from Bastar, was recently assigned the job of PCC chief of Chhattisgarh replacing Mohan Markam.
