Bhopal records 43.3 degree, Khargone hottest at 44.8

The State capital recorded highest day temperature of season at 43.3 degree celsius while whole state continues to witness scorching temperatures.

Khargone remained the hottest at 44.8 degree celsius. There are chances of getting some relief from the scorching heat in Madhya Pradesh after two days. Presently most of the cities are burning like a furnace. Saturday's day temperature in Khargone reached 46 degrees. This is the highest temperature here in the last 7 years. Last year on May 10, the mercury of Khargone was recorded at 45.8 degrees. Khargone was the fourth hottest city in the world after Nawabshah, Sibi city of Pakistan and Dammam in Saudi Arabia.

However, due to the activation of Western Disturbance, there may be light drizzle with thunder and lightning after May 16 to 20 in Gwalior, Rewa-Chambal division. Rest of the places, the heat wave will remain sharp. Especially Malwa-Nimar will be very hot. The temperature here can remain around 44 degrees. Khargone of Madhya Pradesh was the hottest in the country. After this, 46 degree temperature was recorded in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. Apart from Jaisalmer, the heat was more in Barmer, Akola, Churu, Kota, Bikaner, Jhansi, Phalodi and Jalgaon. The temperature was recorded here from 45 to 45.7 degrees. For the first time in the month of May, the mercury crossed 44 degrees in Gwalior, Khargone, Dhar, Guna, Ratlam, Shajapur, Ujjain, Damoh and Khajuraho.

In Khargone, the temperature rose up to 4 degrees in a single day. Earlier, Ratlam had the highest temperature for 9 consecutive days. That is, Ratlam was the hottest in the state. For the first time in Gwalior on Saturday, the mercury was 44.5 degree Celsius. At the same time, the mercury reached 43.2 degrees in Bhopal with an increase of 2 degrees. It was 42.7 degrees in Indore and 41.1 degrees in Jabalpur.
