The residents of Belpahar in Jharsuguda are outraged and upset over the behaviour of the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Bilaspur as they were told that rail stoppages were a national issue and not personal to anyone.
According to sources, the Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (DCM) from Bilaspur had called the agitating delegation for talks, and the representatives from the Belpahar - Lakhanpur Railway Users Forum had reached Bilaspur for the meeting on Friday. However, the delegation was taken aback by the gesture and behavior of the DRM of Bilaspur.
The residents of Belpahar have been demanding that the rail stoppages, which were stopped many months ago due to the Covid-19 pandemic, be started again. They also threatened to hold a rail roko on March 23 to press for the demand.
The delegation expressed disappointment with the DRM's behavior and urged the railway authorities to find a solution to the problem.
