The Committee on Government Undertakings of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly conducted a physical inspection of the ABD area of Ranchi Smart City on Monday and expressed satisfaction over the construction work being done by the Smart City. Under the chairmanship of MLA Saryu Roy, the committee first reached Jupmi Building and inquired about the master plan, projects, expenditure, budget allocation of Ranchi Smart City and the status of Ranchi in comparison to other smart cities of the country. Earlier, CEO of Ranchi Smart City Corporation Amit Kumar welcomed MLAs Saryu Roy, Mathura Prasad Mahato and DAG Ajay Kumar.
Amit Kumar told the members that Ranchi is one of the leading cities in the country in the implementation of the schemes being run by the Smart City Mission and Jharkhand is at the first position in the category of states under the Smart City Scheme. He said that the construction of infrastructure here is world class. Special attention has been given to environmental protection, water harvesting and open space in the construction of the city. The infrastructure work in the smart city will be completed in the next one or two months. He was told that with the help of this command center based on state-of-the-art technology, the surveillance and management of the city has become better than before. The CEO informed about the equipment installed under it and its benefits. Roy said that the command centre is helping various departments, so there should be revenue sharing for its self-sustainability and work should be done to make it more public utility.
Due to his pre-scheduled program, MLA Mathura Prasad Mahato left for Dhanbad from the Command Center itself, but Roy took physical information about the development happening in the ABD area and praised it. On this occasion, Project Manager of L&T JD Tripathi informed about the entire work plan.
