The annual function of St Joseph's Co-Ed School was organised in the school premises on Thursday.
The chief guest, ArchBishop Durairaj, SVD School Principal, Father Ronald Vann, Head Boy, Head Girl Sister etc. started the program by lighting the lamp. A prayer song titled “You Raise Me Up” was sung by the primary students.
The school principal congratulated everyone and welcomed the people present. He pointed out that music, a public language that transcends words, has been an integral part of Indian culture.
In the children's song, there are students of all age groups, hence it tells that in our busy lives, we have forgotten to live happily. Students dressed in Arabian clothes danced. Presented through dance a song named “Aao Ek Banayen Chakkar Phir Us Chakkar Mein Ek Chakkar”.
In his speech, the chief guest, Arch Bishop, congratulated everyone for the program. A song called “We All Need That Someone” was sung, showing nature in the song and telling us to take care of the things around us. We should not live alone, we should live with everyone and cooperate.
An interesting dance performance was given by the primary students on the song “Bharat Natyam Jayatu Jaytam Bharatam”. The song “Lahara Do Lahara Do” filled all the spectators sitting in the gallery with enthusiasm. Greed is shown in the play 'Golden Bracelet'. Therefore, we suffer losses due to greed. Boys and girls in colorful clothes presented western dance.
