The Department of Anatomy, AIIMS Bhopal conducted a cadaveric oath ceremony for the new batch of 2023 MBBS Students on Tuesday. This ceremony impressed upon the students, the noble act of body donation by donors, the fulfilment of the wishes of the donors by the next of kin and the irreplaceable resource of cadavers in learning.
The Department Head Prof (Dr) Bertha A D Rathinam, led the students into cadaveric oath whereby the students pledged to respect the cadavers, express gratitude to family and how the knowledge gained will help them serve the society. Dean Students Welfare Prof (Dr) S Balakrishnan, in his speech stressed that the very foundation for any branch of medical education is cadaveric dissection and the knowledge of Anatomy.
The Department of Anatomy expressed its sincere thanks to all donors and their families for fulfilling the wish of body donation for this noble cause.
