All Valley Chess Competition is being organized at DVC Club from Wednesday to Friday in the Hazaribag Project of Damodar Valley Corporation.This competition was inaugurated on Wednesday.The chief guest of this function was Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Director (Land settlement) and Project Head, Daghani, Hazaribag, who formally started the competition by hoisting the flag of DVC at Daghani campus.Five teams from different projects of Damodar Valley Corporation are participating in this competition.
This competition is being organized on robin league basis in both team category and individual category.Maithon Dam, Bokaro Thermal and Hazaribag Project from Jharkhand and Mejia Thermal Power Station and Durgapur Thermal Power Station from Bengal are participating in this competition.The main judge of this competition is Vinod Kumar Sao, under whose guidance this competition is being successfully conducted and the deputy judge is Rinki Devi.
At the beginning of the program, Sanjay Kumar, Director (Land Resources) and Project Head, Hazaribag welcomed all the participating players and said that it is a matter of great pride to have this competition in Hazaribag Project, where everyone participated enthusiastically in these competitions and thanked all the players for taking out time for sports apart from their work and said that by participating in sports, we not only get to know other projects but also Our social circle also increases.Which benefits our efficiency somewhere.During the inauguration ceremony, Ameet Kumar Sheel, Senior Chief Engineer, Shambhun Varnwal, Dr. Jitendra Jha, Rahul Ranjan, Deepak Kumar, Ujjwal Banerjee of DVC Sports Council, Arun Kumar Sinha, Sunil Kumar, Dheeraj Kumar, Madan Kumar.
