AIIMS Bhopal, in collaboration with numerous voluntary organizations, successfully commemorated World Blood Donor Day on Wednesday. The event witnessed an overwhelming response from the community, with 100 generous voluntary blood donors stepping forward to donate blood, and an additional 300 individuals registering as voluntary blood donors.

To raise awareness and encourage voluntary blood donation, the Blood Centre at AIIMS Bhopal organized a range of engaging activities. These included the creation of short reels to promote the significance of voluntary blood donation, as well as competitions for poster and slogan making. The creative efforts of the participants added vibrancy to the event and helped spread the message of blood donation throughout the community.

AIIMS Bhopal was immensely grateful to receive support from several voluntary organizations that contributed to the success of the event. The Indo Tibet Border Police, Sarthak Seva Kendra, National Medicos Organization, India Care Help Group, and Madhyanchal University were among the organizations that came forward to donate blood and actively participate in this noble cause.

During the event, Professor Dr. Ajai Singh, the Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, emphasized the critical importance of voluntary blood donation drives. He underlined the need to focus on anemia prevention among females and children, a matter of great concern for public health.

The theme for this year's World Blood Donor Day, "Give Blood, Give Plasma, Share Life, Share Often," resonated strongly with the participants and reinforced the significance of regular blood and plasma donations. AIIMS Bhopal acknowledges the contributions made by each donor and is immensely grateful for their commitment to saving lives.
