In a tragic mishap in Agra, a famous laparoscopic surgeon of the city died after slipping on the railway track.
According to reports, Agra’s well-known laparoscopic surgeon Dr Lakhan Singh Galav had gone to the Raja Mandi railway station on Sunday morning to see off his daughter when he suddenly slipped from the platform and fell on the railway track. A train coming from the front passed over the doctor, due to which his body was cut into two parts and he died on the spot.
The Railway Protection Force cops sent the body for post-mortem.
After the death of the surgeon, the family members are in a state of shock.
Dr Galav, a native of Khandari area of Agra, had a clinic in front of RBS College and was also attached with the OPD in Pushpanjali Hospital. He leaves behind two daughters and a son. All three are doctors.
Meanwhile, three people died in a tragic accident on Moradabad-Agra Highway.
According to police, Mohammad Ikram’s wife Nargis (48) of Mumbai was coming to attend the wedding ceremony being held in Kundarki. Her daughter and niece Simran (20) was also present with her while her brother-in-law, Shambhu, was driving the car.
While coming from Delhi, the car was hit by a vehicle near Kundarki late on Saturday night. All four in the car were seriously injured. The accident also resulted in a huge traffic jam.
With difficulty all four were taken to the hospital for treatment where three of them were pronounced dead.
In yet another accident, two brothers hailing from Uttarakhand died after their car rammed into a sugarcane-laden truck on the Amroha National Highway on Saturday night.
The family was returning home to Jaspur, Uttarakhand with Mohammad Aslam, who had returned from Saudi Arabia.
Ashraf (36) and Mohammad Aslam (40) died on the spot while five people, including children, were injured.
Police later reached the spot and rescued the injured people trapped in the car and admitted them to a hospital. Police sent the bodies of both the two brothers for post-mortem.
Ashraf and Mohammad Aslam were sons of a farmer, Shamshad, of Jaspur in Udham Singh Nagar district in Uttarakhand. Mohammad Aslam has been working in Saudi Arabia for a year. Ashraf used to run a shop.
Mohammad Aslam reached Delhi airport from Saudi Arabia on Saturday. Ashraf along with his wife Shama Parveen, Aslam’s wife Anjum, and son Adnan, daughter Dilshad, Ashraf’s daughter Shamaman and Aslam’s brother-in-law Moin reached Delhi Airport in the car. Moin was driving the car. In the night they left for Jaspur.
When their car reached Atarasi village on the National Highway in Rajabpur police station area, the speeding car rammed into a truck laden with sugarcane from behind.
