Ranchi Deputy Commissioner (DC), Rahul Kumar Sinha and SSP, Kaushal Kishore reviewed the route from Swarn Rekha river to Pahadi Mandir on Sunday for the first Monday of Savan. Devotees of Shiva fill water from the Swarnarekha river at Namkum and reach the Pahari temple and offer water to Lord Shiva. Regarding this, on the instructions of Kishore l, adequate security arrangements have been made from Swarnrekha river to the hill temple.
Police forces have been deployed at all the sensitive places on the way. On the instructions of the SSP, DSP rank officers will monitor the security arrangements from Monday morning itself. The police station and bike patrolling squad of the area will do regular patrolling.
The traffic route of the roads leading to Pahari Mandir will be changed. Traffic routes of heavy vehicles will be diverted from Harmu Road and Ratu Road from 12 o'clock on Sunday night. One end of Harmu Road and one side road from Meenakshi Cinema Gali to Ratu Road will be blocked. This situation will remain till the end of the rush on Monday.
Thousands of Shiva devotees reach the hill temple and the Shiva temple at Namkum on the occasion of Monday. In such a situation, the Ranchi police will keep a special eye on these two temples. The policemen and the station in-charge have been given clear instructions not to allow overcrowding in the temple premises. A stampede situation can arise when there is a crowd which would be very difficult to handle.
