Under the aegis of Infantry School Mhow, Army troops at Mhow cantonment conducted a visit of School children from Indore Public School with an aim to provide an insight into the Indian Army as a way of life and not just a career. The visit held on 22 Jul 2023 included exposure to training facilities like to Army Marksmanship Unit, Display of Infantry Weapons, Small Arms Firing and a visit to the Infantry Museum.
The role of Indian Army and an infantry soldier was highlighted with special emphasis towards contribution of the Indian Army towards Nation building. The dynamic response and contribution during natural disasters like Tsunami, Earthquake and Floods as also the supreme sacrifice made by our soldiers during various wars were aptly highlighted.
The objective of the outreach pgme was to familiarize the children with the ethos of the Indian Army and give them an insight about traditions and life in the Forces. Concurrently, it was also an activity to strengthen in the bond between the Armed Forces and the public. 150 students and staff of Indore Public School participated wholeheartedly in the event.
