The Special Judge, CBI(Vyapam Cases), Gwalior(Madhya Pradesh) has convicted Balram Yadav(Impersonator) and Akhilesh Kumar (Candidate) in a case related to impersonation in Police Constable Recruitment Exam-2012 and sentenced them to undergo four years Rigorous Imprisonment with fine of Rs 13,100 each.
CBI had registered the instant case on August 05, 2015 on the orders of Supreme Court of India and taken over the investigation of FIR No; 286/14 dated July 10, 2014, earlier registered at Police Station Bhind Dehat(Madhya Pradesh) against Akhilesh, Constable of Police Line Bhind on the allegations of impersonation in the Police Constable Recruitment Examination-2012 conducted by VYAPAM, Bhopal on September 30, 2012. It was alleged that that a police enquiry was conducted by CSP, Bhind, during which signatures, handwritings & thumb impressions on the OMR sheet & RASA attendance sheet, used by candidate Akhilesh Kumar having roll no. 430057 in the written test of Police Constable Recruitment Exam-2012 on 30.09.2012(conducted by Vyapam) did not match with the specimen signatures, thumb impressions & handwritings of Constable Akhilesh Kumar. Earlier, the local police filed two chargesheets against the accused.
During CBI investigation, it was revealed that a middleman organized a Solver Balram Yadav in lieu of money of Rs 70,000 for beneficiary to candidate Akhilesh Kumar through another middleman. Hence, CBI filed a supplementary chargesheet against four accused including candiadate, Impersonator/solver & middleman before the Designated Court at Gwalior.
The Trial Court found the said two accused i.e. Candidate & Impersonator/ Solver guilty and convicted them. Two middlemen were acquitted by the Court.
