A Special Vigilance court convicting four teachers of Government run schools in Baleswar on the charge of submitting fake educational certificates for getting the jobs has awarded two years of imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 10,000 on each. They will undergo another four months jail term for defaulting in paying the fine.
The convicted teachers were identified as Daitary Nayak (Mahisapata Government UGME School), Narahari Nayak (Jharanaghati Primary School), Dhirendra Nayak (retired) at (Pathahata Nodal Primary School) and Debendra Kumar Mohapatra, (former assistant teacher at Tentulia UGME School and currently posted at Kalyani Primary School, Mitrapur.)
Narahari Nayak was under suspension prior to his conviction in the case while assistant teacher Debendra Kumar Mohapatra was transferred and posted at Kalyani Government Primary School at Mitrapur in Baleswar district.
The court ordered stopping of the pension of Dhirendra Nayak, who is retired from service, forthwith and dismissal from service for the other three convicts.
