Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Ladli Bahna Yojana is a social revolution which started from Madhya Pradesh. This scheme is also a campaign to change the lives of sisters. The scheme will complete the tapasya performed by me for the empowerment of poor women. Chief Minister Chouhan participated in the concluding programme of Vikas Yatra at Baktra border of Sehore and Raisen districts on Sunday.
Chouhan said that this is a mahayagya to change the lives of daughters and sisters, which has emerged from the movements of his youth and the thinking of considering sons and daughters as equal. He said that several schemes like Kanya Vivah/Nikah and Ladli Laxmi were implemented in the state to increase respect for women and to empower them. He said that this is the miracle of these schemes that today a lakhpati daughter is born in the house of the poor and now the daughter is recognised as a boon.
Chief Minister Chouhan described the participation of thousands of women in the programme as a revolution and expressed gratitude to thousands of sisters for the rakhis given to him. He said that their brother Shivraj will send Rs 1000 every month to his sisters through Ladli Bahna Yojana. This will boost the respect of women at home and in the society.
Chief Minister Chouhan announced to open CM Rise School in Baktra. He said that today there is no field without irrigation and no village without road in Budhni assembly constituency. He also performed bhoomi-pujan of several roads connecting several villages of Baktra. The Chief Minister said that Budhni was backward in every field 20 years ago. The previous government of 15 months had done a disservice to the common people by stopping the schemes of the villages, the poor and the deprived. The Chief Minister said that his government is determined for the welfare of every section.
The Chief Minister said that he is not the Chief Minister but a member of every family of his state. The Vikas Yatra that took place after the Mukhya Mantri Jan Seva Abhiyan was a resolution to serve. Dedication and foundation stone laying of development works worth crores of rupees will take the state forward. He said that in the Vikas Yatra, it has been ensured that crores of people get the benefits of the schemes. If any eligible person is left, he will be identified and benefitted. The Chief Minister also hailed the district administration for taking the initiative of providing insurance to one lakh 30 thousand people in Vikas Yatras and making smart classes in schools in Sehore district.
The Chief Minister said that the process of giving more than one lakh government jobs is going on in the state. Now the children of the state will be able to study medical and engineering in Hindi also. He said that provision will be made to give reservations to children of government schools for admission in medicine. The state government will now also make the elderly go on pilgrimage by airplane.
The Chief Minister said that now Devi Mahalok is being developed in Salkanpur temple on the lines of Shri Mahakal Mahalok in Ujjain, in which devotees will get darshan of all forms of the Devi. Chief Minister Chouhan reached the Vikas Rath from the helipad to the programme venue. Chief Minister Chouhan was given a historic welcome by the people of Baktara. Chief Minister Chouhan also performed kanya pujan in the programme.
Member of Parliament Ramakant Bhargava congratulated the Chief Minister for the development works done in the area. He said that Budhni will write a new chapter of development. Hundreds of women tied Raksha Sutra and expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Chouhan for the Ladli Bahna Yojana.
