According to him, quality medical and health services of maternal-child health and family welfare programmes are being provided in all the government hospitals, CHCs, PHCs. HWCs and sub-centres of the district. For this, the team has performed well under the collaborative supervision of ACMO (RCH) Dr HC Maurya and District Programme Manager (DPM) of National Health Mission (NHM) Santosh Kumar Singh. ASHA workers and ANMs have an important role in improving the indicators. ASHA workers mobilise beneficiaries from the community and bring them to the medical units. This ranking of Varanasi is an honour to the frontline workers, he said.
He asked all the health workers that the quality of activities related to maternal health, child health, newborn health and nutrition should be maintained. “The department is making continuous efforts to provide medical and health benefits to the last person of the community. This is the aim of the government and the department,” he said, adding that the achievement should continue. For this, all programme nodal officers, block programme managers, block community process managers, data operators, ANMs and other health workers have been directed to visit the regular blocks as well as VHSND, vaccination sessions, Antraal (intervals) and Khushaal Parivar (happy family) days etc apart from taking people’s feedback about the facilities and ensuring to improve the same.
