The kinnars of Kinnar Akhara took to the road with the traffic police to enforce traffic rules here on Wednesday. The transgenders taught traffic rules to the passersby. Under the leadership of senior member of Uttar Pradesh Kinnar Welfare Board, Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kaushalyanand Giri (Tina Maa), a large number of transgenders also took out an awareness rally. Bike riders going without helmets were given roses and asked to wear helmets. Helmets were provided to 251 people.
Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kaushalyanand Giri said today more deaths are occurring in the country due to road accidents than due to diseases.
The most worrying situation that more youths are dying in road accidents therefore we all should follow all traffic rules so that we remain safe and our family members do not face any problem.
The two-wheeler drivers must wear helmets and car drivers seat belts. One should avoid overtaking while driving because most of the accidents occur due to overtaking and drivers falling asleep.
Traffic inspector Pawan Kumar Pandey also made people aware about traffic. Additional Commissioner Police Traffic Sitaram and TI Manoj Singh also expressed their views. A large number of people, including Shri Mahant Sanjananand Giri of Kinnar Akhara, Naina, Shobha, Chhaya, Palak, Neha, Sana, Rani, Sangeeta, Chavanni, Devi, Saloni, Narmada, Srishti, Sushma were present.
