Three persons, including a child, were killed when the motorcycle on which they were travelling was hit by a tractor-trolley in Koraon on Monday night. The impact of the collision was so strong that the man and his daughter died instantaneously while his wife succumbed to her injuries in a hospital.
The police have taken the tractor-trolley into custody. Angered by the accident, the villagers created a ruckus and refused to hand over the bodies to the police which reached the spot on getting the information. Even after persuading for a long time when the villagers did not agree, the police seized the bodies and sent them for the postmortem.
Vikas alias Akash Nishad (25) of Badpur Manda Road in Yamunanagar, was going to his sister’s in-laws in Koraon on a motorcycle with his wife Soni Nishad (22) and one-and-a-half-year-old daughter . The speeding tractor trolley hit his bike from behind. due to which the man and his daughter fell on the road were crushed under the wheels of the tractor trolley. Due to which the two died on the spot while Soni who fell on the track sustained serious injuries. When the family members got information through the police, they reached the spot. They told the police that Akash was elder of two brothers. His wife was sent to a nearby hospital where she died while undergoing treatment. The villagers, who reached the spot on getting information, created ruckus and blocked the road. The police tried to explain. When the people did not listen to the police, the police dispersed them. After that the bodies was sent to the postmortem house.
Station in-charge Koraon Dhirendra Singh said the tractor trolley has been taken into possession. The driver is absconding. The bodies of victims have been sent to the postmortem house.
Meanwhile a block development officer (BDO) was injured and his driver died when a truck hit a Bolero in Nawabganj. On information the police took the body into possession and sent it to the postmortem house. The injured BDO has been admitted to a hospital.
According to outpost in-charge Mansoorabad Rakesh Kumar, Shringverpur BDO Leeladhar Shukla was going in Bolero on Monday evening which got punctured in Mansoorabad. They were getting puncture fixed by parking the Bolero near the bypass when an uncontrolled truck hit it. As a result Bolero driver Mahendra Yadav who was standing on the roadside died on the spot. BDO Leeladhar Shukla sitting in the car was seriously injured. The people present there informed the police. The injured BDO was rushed to the hospital for treatment. SHO Nawabganj Anoop Singh said BDO was going to the meeting when the accident happened. The truck driver is on the run and is being searched, he added.
