Surat-Chhapra Superfast gets stoppage at Kerakat station

For the convenience of the passengers, the Railway Administration has given stoppage to train numbers 09065/09066 Surat-Chhapra-Surat Weekly Superfast (SF) Express on experimental basis at Kerakat station in Jaunpur district till further notice. In a programme organised at Kerakat station on Tuesday, 09065 Surat-Chhapra Weekly SF Express was flagged off from Kerakat station by MP Machhlishahr BP Saroj. An assembly constituency of Varanasi district, Pindra, is a segment of Machhlishahr parliamentary seat. In his address, Saroj expressed his gratitude to the Railway Minister and Railway Administration for giving stoppage to Surat-Chhapra Express at Kerakat station and said that Indian Railways is the most accessible and economical means of transport which is very useful for the poor people. He said that the people of the Kerakat area had been demanding a stoppage of the Surat-Chhapra-Surat weekly express train at Kerakat station for a long time. In this direction, he said that he had written a letter to the Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and as a result of continuous efforts, the Railway Administration has given a stoppage of Surat-Chhapra-Surat Weekly SF Express at Kerakat railway station.

According to him, from now on, train number 09065 Surat-Chhapra Express will reach Kerakat station at 9.15 am and will depart for Chhapra at 9.17 am with a halt of two minutes. Similarly, from November 1, 09066 Chhapra-Surat Express will reach Kerakat station at 12.05 pm and will depart for Surat at 12.07 pm with a halt of two minutes.

He further informed that apart from this, on the demand of the people of Machhlishahr Lok Sabha constituency, the stoppage of train numbers 14611/14612 Ghazipur City-Shri Mata Devi Vaishno Katra-Ghazipur City Weekly Express has also been approved by the Railway Minister at Kerakat and Dhobi stations from November 3. As a result, 14611 Ghazipur City-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Weekly Express will reach Dobhi station at 9.35 am and depart at 9.37 am and then reach Kerakat station at 9.48 am and depart at 9.50 am. Similarly, 14612 Shri Mata Vaishno Devi- Ghazipur City Weekly Express will arrive at Kerakat station at 4.45 am and depart at 4.47 am and then reach Shobhi station at 4.56 am  and depart at 4.58 am.

Earlier, Chief Project Manager (Gati Shakti) Kaushalesh Singh, said that Varanasi Division of NER is a passenger-oriented division which is continuously striving to provide advanced comfort facilities to its passengers.
