The Veda department of Sampurnanand Sanskrit University (SSU) on Wednesday organised Shravani Upakarma on the occasion of purnima of shukla paksha of the auspicious month of Shravan. In the context of Sanskrit-sanskar and culture, Guru (teachers) teach students the lesson to do good deeds and teachers should also become the best Gurus and produce the best students, the Vice-Chancellor of SSU Prof Bihari Lal Sharma said while presiding over the programme and added that when there will be the best students then only the best India will be built and they will establish India on global platform. As the chief guest of the function, Prof. Rampujan Pandey said that this festival is also known as twin birth and added that man is born once from his mother’s body, not only human birth, animals and birds are also born in this way, but humans being is different from all of them and added that a human being is given admission in Gurukul for the study as a disciple under the best Gurus. In Gurukul, the Guru teaches his disciples about good character, morality, nationalism, values, culture and kindness towards the nation, society and family, he said, adding that the disciples devote their entire time to the Guru through their feelings and respect.
The Sanskrit Day and Raksha Bandhan festival also fall on this day and it is observed to atone for sins through worship. The pujan was performed on the occasion under the guidance of Prof Mahendra Pandey and Dr Vijay Kumar Sharma and coordination of Dr Satyendra Kumar Yadav. Prof Sadanand Shukla, Prof Sudhakar Mishra, Shyam Sunder Tiwari, Santosh Dubey and others were present on the occasion.
inaugurated: UP Minister of State for Stamp, Court Fee and Registration Ravindra Jaiswal inaugurated two roads/ interlocking works approved under rapid economic development plan year (2022-2023).
At a programme on Tuesday, the Minister inaugurated the road from Brahm Baba place to the house of Dilip Singh via slum locality in Om Sai Ram Colony. Meerapur Badshin in Sarsauli Ward which was constructed with a cost of Rs 46.72 lakh.
At another programme, Jaiswal inaugurated the road and interlocking work completed with a cost of Rs 30.90 lakh in Indira Nagar Colony, Khajuri in Khajuri Ward.
