Efforts on to provide better facilities on Panchkoshi Marg

Several efforts are going on to provide better facilities to the devotees on the Panchkoshi Marg as during the extra month (adimas) of Shrawan a large number of people are expected to travel on this pilgrimage route on which there are five padaos (halts) including Karmdeshwar Mahadev, Bhim Chandi, Rameshwar Mahadev, Panch Pandhav and Kapildhara. After the completion of the second phase of Namo Ghat development project, the devotees would reach Kashi Vishwanath Temple easily to complete their holy journey after passing through Adi Keshav Ghat.

The Additional Municipal Commissioner said that near the Aditya Nagar located pokhara (pond) on the Panchkoshi Marg located in Karaudi, the Nagar Nigam has drained out the rain water collected during recent days and sprayed insecticides there. The Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department (PWD) claimed that the condition of the road in Karaundi is satisfactory and there are no patches or potholes anywhere on the route.

Deputy Director (Tourism) said that at the first halt of Panchkoshi Yatra at Khandwa (Karmdeshwar Mahadev), out of a total of 10 dharamshalas being renovated, the civil work, temporary water system, temporary lighting system and already constructed toilets have been repaired in eight so far while the work is in progress in the remaining two dharamshalas. According to him, the work of cleaning and repairing the pond located at the halt is also in progress while at the second padao (halt) at Bhim Chandi,  the renovation work of total nine dharamshalas was to be done and out of them, civil works, temporary water works etc have been completed in eight so far while many arrangements, temporary lighting system and already constructed toilets have already been repaired. Work is in progress in one remaining dharamshala, he informed.

At the third halt at Rameshwar, out of the renovation work of seven dharamshalas, civil works, temporary water system, temporary lighting system and already constructed toilets have already been repaired in six while work is in progress in the remaining one. At fourth halt at Panch Pandav in  Shivpur area, the renovation work of both the dharamshalas including civil work, temporary water system, temporary lighting system and already constructed toilets have already been completed while at the fifth halt at Kapildhara, the renovation work of all six dharamshalas including civil work, temporary water system, temporary lighting system and already constructed toilets have also been completed. He informed that by making necessary arrangements for the convenience of the pilgrims/ travellers coming for the Panchkoshi Yatra, facilities are being made available to them smoothly through the Yatra Kashi Panchkoshi Renovation Committee.
