Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has received the top position in the category of central universities in the 9th edition of ‘Clarivate India Research Excellence Citation Awards-2023’ for its excellent research work. This award is given to all the universities in the country. It is given for the excellent research work of one of the central universities. Dr Devendra Kumar Singh, Librarian of BHU, received the award in a function organised by Web of Science in New Delhi recently.
The Clarivate India Research Excellence Citation Awards-2023 is a unique award given to recognise excellence in education research in India. This award is organised once every two or three years and honours individuals and institutions who have made outstanding education research contributions in various categories and whose research makes a significant impact in their chosen field.
In the direction of research excellence, the Central Library (BHU) is making available all the important books and research journals of the world for the research work being done in the university, as a result of which this year the Central Library of BHU was also given the Best Library Award by the Indian Library Association.
