The 10-day 13th all India Police Commando Competition will begin on Tuesday at the National Security Guard (NSG) campus at Manesar, Gurugram, Haryana. The 13" All India Police Commando Competition will be organised under the aegis of NSG at its Manesar Campus from March 21 to March 31.
“The prestigious National Level Competition is designed to assess the Best Commando Team amongst CAPFs and State Police Forces based on their physical fitness, tactical skills, mental robustness, shooting prowess, leadership qualities and esprit-de-corps,” the NSG said in a statement. In the event, 24 teams are in the fray for this prestigious annual event conducted under the aegis of All India Police Sports Control Board. This event holds importance for participating teams since it is being held post-Covid pandemic after a gap of three years, the last such event being held at Pune in December, 2019. “During ten-day event, the teams will display their expertise in multiple facets of Special Forces training, including precision shooting, endurance, special operations planning and execution, and special survival skills, which aptly demonstratecollective preparedness of nation to face terrorists challenges,” it said.
