Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Ram, on Sunday and offered prayers at Hanuman Garhi Temple.
In Ayodhya, Yogi Adityanath also paid homage to late Paramhans Ramchandra Das, the hero of the Ram Janmabhoomi movement, on his death anniversary. During this, his affection for Ram temple along with Saketwasi Paramhans also spilled out.
The chief minister paid homage to the hero of the temple movement at his ashram, Digambar Akhara, in the afternoon on Sunday along with Paramhans' disciple and successor Mahant Sureshdas.
After reaching Ayodhya at 12 o'clock, the chief minister paid homage at the tomb of the hero of the first temple movement. After this he went to Hanuman Garhi and Ram Janmabhoomi for darshan besides visiting Digambar Akhara.
After seeking blessings in Ayodhya, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also made an inspection of the on-going construction work of the grand Shree Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
He later proceeded to Chitrakoot to attend the function of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
