The weather is going to change in Jharkhand in the new year and there is chance of rain for two days in the next week. This will affect the central and southern parts and shallow to moderate fog may occur at isolated places in many districts of the State.
Ranchi Meteorological Center, Scientist, Abhisek Anand gave this information on Friday.
Anand further said the weather remained dry in the State during the last 24 hours and somewhere in the morning light fog was also shadowed. The highest temperature of 27.4 degree Celsius was recorded in Chaibasa and the lowest minimum temperature of 6.1°C was recorded at KVK Khunti, he added.
The Weather Sientist said that there is no possibility of any major change in the minimum temperature in the State during the next 24 hours. After this, there may be a gradual increase in the minimum temperature by 2 to 3 degree Celsius in the next 3 to 4 days, he added.
Anand said that the shallow to moderate fog very likely at isolated places over Godda, Jamtara, Pakur, Sahibganj during next 2 to 3 days.
“On December 31, there will be fog in the morning. Later the sky will clear. The weather will be dry. From January 1 to January 3, there will be fog or mist in the morning. Later it may become partly cloudy. The weather will be dry,” said Anand.
The Weather Scientist said that the light rain likely at isolated places over central and southern parts on January 4. “Its effect can be seen in Ranchi, Bokaro, Gumla, Hazaribagh, Khunti, Ramgarh, East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Simdega, Seraikela-Kharsawan districts,” he added.
