The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) on Thursday issued an advisory stating that the water supply in parts of the national capital will be affected on May 13, due to the maintenance work.
According to the advisory, Due to depletion of pond level of Yamuna at Wazirabad Water Works 671.80 feet against the normal level of 674.50 feet and reduction in release of raw water by Haryana in river Yamuna, water production has been affected from Water Treatment Plants at Wazirabad, Chandrawal and Okhla.
“The affected areas are Civil lines, Hindu Rao Hospital and adjoining areas ,Kamla Nagar , Shakti Nagar and adjoining areas ,Karol Bagh , Pahar Ganj and NDMC areas , New Rajinder Nagar , Patel Nagar, Baljeet Nagar, Prem Nagar, Inderpuri and adjoining areas, Kalkaji, Govindpuri, Tugalkabad, Sangam Vihar, Ambedkar Nagar.
Prahladpur and adjoining area, Ramleela Ground, Delhi gate, Subhash Park., Model Town, Gulabi Bagh, Punjabi Bagh, Jahangirpuri, Moolchand, South Extn., Greater Kailash, Burari and adjoining areas, , Parts of Cantonment areas and South Delhi,” it stated. DJB also advised the public to make judicious use of water to avoid any inconvenience.
